My biggest sources of inspiration are music and real life. I am constantly cultivating my playlists, creating a mood or atmosphere through the music. I love how lyrics and riffs can so perfectly capture emotion. Whether it is elation or loneliness or despair, I can always find a song that reflects the feeling I am trying to portray. I listen and draw from that emotion, let if flow through me until I am in that state of mind and can write as if the emotion is my own. I draw on my day-to-day experiences in much the same way. I try to immerse myself in the details, capture every vivid image so that I can recreate it on the paper.
I am the same way. I create playlists that contain my soundtracks for each book I write 🙂

You can! I would definitely be interested in listening. People can follow your playlists in Spotify. I bet you can put a direct link on your website or something. Pretty cool!

If I have a character that’s really into music, they might get their own playlist!

Any favorite writing songs/OSTs? Perhaps have a link to your favorites or a list on your blog.

For me it really depends on the part I am working on. For my current novel, I have a Spotify playlist for each of four parts that correspond with the overall mood. I took your advice Brie and added a link in my About section and pasted it here in case you are curious. Great suggestion!!
